CloudMates brought its vision for the next generation of intelligent systems to LEAP 2026 in Riyadh, showcasing how cloud, AI, edge technologies and physical automation can come together to create experiences that move beyond the screen.
Held from 31 August to 3 September 2026 at the Riyadh Exhibition & Convention Centre in Malham, LEAP brought together the global technology ecosystem around emerging technologies and new models of digital transformation. Physical AI was also a prominent theme across the event, with sessions exploring how intelligence embedded in machines is beginning to reshape real-world industries.
At the CloudMates showcase, visitors experienced two interactive demonstrations designed to make these ideas tangible. AI Superstar combined Generative AI, cloud-native workflows and connected edge devices to transform visitor photographs into personalised AI avatars and physical sticker swag. AI Barista demonstrated a different dimension of AI: natural conversation translated into real-world action, with a conversational AI experience orchestrating connected systems involved in preparing a physical coffee order.
The CloudMates team at LEAP 2026 included Solutions Architects Aram Satouf and Rafah Omar.
The demonstrations reflected a broader shift in how CloudMates sees enterprise AI evolving. Rather than operating as isolated chat interfaces, intelligent systems are increasingly becoming part of business workflows, devices, operational environments and physical infrastructure. This brings together capabilities across Conversational AI, Agentic AI, IoT, Edge Computing and Physical AI, supported by secure and scalable cloud foundations.
For CloudMates, that foundation remains critical. Organisations looking to adopt these new capabilities still need modern cloud platforms, well-governed data, secure architectures and reliable integration across existing systems. CloudMates works across cloud migration and modernisation, Generative AI, data platforms, security, managed cloud, IoT and edge solutions, helping customers build the underlying environment required for more intelligent and autonomous applications.
Physical AI is an exciting progression because it connects intelligence with the environments where businesses actually operate. Whether it is a customer experience, an industrial workflow or an intelligent edge system, the real value comes when AI can understand context, make a decision and securely trigger an action. — Mohamed Motasem, Director of Engineering at CloudMates
The theme aligned closely with conversations taking place across LEAP itself. The 2026 programme included dedicated discussion around the era of Physical AI and the role of intelligent machines across transportation, supply chains, mining and other industries, alongside broader sessions on how AI, cloud and trusted infrastructure can turn data into real-world outcomes.
As organisations move from experimentation to production AI, CloudMates sees the next phase being defined by tighter integration between cloud intelligence and the physical world—from autonomous workflows and connected devices to robotics, intelligent operations and edge-based decision-making.
From cloud foundation to intelligent action, CloudMates is helping organisations build what comes next.
